Mableton Residents Speak Up about Extension of 1% SPLOST sales tax

Atlanta, GA--  The Mableton Improvement Coalition is asking that Mableton residents speak up about the extension of the SPLOST tax and let each of the commissioners know how they feel.  The Cobb County Board of Commissioners will decide soon whether to ask the voters for an extension of the 1% SPLOST tax.  The money would continue to be used for maintenance and upgrades to parks, transportation and county facilities.

Click here for a complete list of projects.  Projects include a new community center in Historic mableton, a newbox theatre at the Mable House Arts Center, and a town square near the new school.  In addition all parks will be upgraded and the Floyd Road post office is to be improved.

The Mableton Improvement Coalition wants residents to take a minute to click this link and fill out the comment form supporting these Mableton projects:

  • Mableton recreation center
  • Mable House theatre
  • Walker Street town square and Church St improvements
  • Floyd Road improvements
  • Improvements at Nickajack, Lions, Heritage, Wallace and Thompson Parks
