Police investigate home robbery, assault | Crime

MABLETON, Ga. -- Cobb County Police are working to identify the suspects in a recent case of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

The incident occurred at around 8 p.m. Tuesday at a house on Collins Lake Way near Fontaine Road.

The homeowner told police that "four to five black men" forced their way inside the home. Some of the suspects held the people inside the house at gunpoint, while their accomplices "ransacked" the residence, taking cash and "several items of value," according to Cobb County Police spokesman Mike Bowman. No one was injured.

All of the suspects had their faces covered and were armed with handguns, according to investigators.
