BEST SPOTS: Atlanta Skyline Views | Environment
ATLANTA, Ga. -- For this week’s installment of Best Spots, we've compiled a list of the best lookout points in the metro-area to view the Atlanta skyline.
The prominent Atlanta Skyline is marked with midrise and high-rise buildings similar to those one would find in a larger city like New York City or Los Angeles. The Bank of America Plaza formally known as the NationsBank Building is one of the most prominent buildings in the Atlanta skyline and is the 42nd tallest building in the world, is the largest building in the Western Hemisphere outside of Chicago and New York and is Georgia’s tallest building.
Other buildings included in the Atlanta Skyline are the SunTrust Plaza, One Atlantic Center, 191 Peachtree Tower, the Georgia-Pacific Tower, Westin Peachtree Plaza, Two Peachtree Building and the Promenade II. Although relatively young, in terms of American skylines it's one of the most distinct parts of Atlanta, besides the southern accents and chicken shacks, of course. When one gets to Atlanta, it's almost impossible to miss and it's one of the most wonders attractions in the city.
According to the “Where U Live” crew, the best places to peer at the skyline include:
From the top of Stone Mountain which is located at 1000 Robert E. Lee Drive in Stone Mountain.
At the popular Grant Park restaurant, Six Feet Under which is located at 437 Memorial Drive SE in Atlanta or at Grant Park is located at 840 Cherokee Avenue in Atlanta.

The Vinings Club which is located at 2859 Paces Ferry Road and the Commerce Club which is located at 191 Peachtree Tower are known for their amazing views of the city.

On the expressway at Boulevard and Freedom Parkway, at the 85S Overpass at Buford Highway and near Mount Paran Road and the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Windy Hill Road in Cobb County.
