COBB CO. | Driver ID'd in fatality crash at I-75 on ramp | News

SMYRNA, Ga. -- Police have identified the driver of the car involved in a single-car wreck on the on ramp of I-75 at Cumberland Boulevard on Saturday morning. 

According to investigators, the driver, 17-year-old Derrick Pritchett got into an accident after trying to evade a Cobb County emergency vehicle attempting to make a traffic stop. 

Pritchett was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

One passenger was pronounced dead on the scene and the other is in critical condition at Grady Hospital. 

Investigators believe the dead passenger to be a juvenile but have not been able to positively identify him.
