BEST SPOTS: Dog Parks

BEST SPOTS: Dog Parks

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- For this week's edition of Best Spots, we have compiled a list of dog parks for you to take you furry friend for some fun.

Recently, dog parks have been sprouting up in the Atlanta area. With newly modified leash law restrictions, owners who may or may not have yards need a place for their dogs to run free and get adequate daily exercise.

Some say, these parks are becoming more popular as the country begins placing more of an emphasis on health following the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” initiative.

Dog owners in the Douglasville can take their furry children to the Deer Lick Park for some off-leash exercise. The park is fenced and smaller dogs and larger dogs have separate play areas. The park is located at 2105 Mack Road in Douglasville.

Burger Park in Smyrna is, also, an off-leash park and is moderately sized, for its type.
